We are very excited to introduce confirmation to our Club 56 program! The goal of confirmation is to present an overview of the Bible and church beliefs while fostering a relationship with and love for Jesus.
What is confirmation?
Confirmation is a 2-year program on Sunday mornings for 5th and 6th graders. Students will receive intentional teaching on scripture and church beliefs. Upon completion of the program, students will be confirmed and celebrated with the wider church family.
What is required of students?
Students will be required to attend Club 56 each week in order to participate in important teachings. If a student misses a week, we will give information to that student on what he/she missed.
Can I still attend Club 56 if l do not want to participate in the Confirmation Program?
Yes! Participation in confirmation is completely optional. All students are still welcome to attend Club 56 even if they do not want to opt into confirmation. Club 56 will still include fun and games as well as teaching from our confirmation curriculum.
What will be studied?
The confirmation program will follow the Covenant Church's confirmation curriculum called The Journey. The Journey exists to foster deep and abiding relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by encouraging participants to begin, or intentionally continue, a life-long journey as Christ's disciple. Each student will receive a devotional journal to accompany and enrich what they learn on Sunday mornings.
Can I still complete the program as a 6th grader?
Yes! If this is your second year in Club 56, you can complete the confirmation program at the end of this year. Because we studied the Old Testament last year, we will study the New Testament this year, thus completing the program for our 6th graders.
