The situation in Congo is both dire and hopeful. Joining together with World Vision in Equateur, the Covenant church desires to stand with the Congolese to turn around the most over-looked province in the neediest country of the world. This unprecedented partnership will provide a “journey to transformation” through a proven community development model for sustainable long-term solutions to build a better world for children. To find out more, please visit their website: http://www.covchurch.org/covenantkidscongo/
Pastor Vince and Jodiann Schott along with Missionaries Dwight and Mary Jo Hansen had a vision establish a safe home for children in Mexico. Nana’s House was founded in 2006 with just few girls, and began its partnership with Community Covenant in 2015.
The idea for Nana’s House was to make a home that is just as safe, happy and healthy as our own homes. The children are not warehoused in an institution but lovingly raised by well-trained paid staff. Starting with one house for just ten girls Nana’s House has grown to two girl’s homes and a boy’s home. Each child is busy with church, private school, and creative activities. We see each shattered life transformed in just a few months as the children receive the loving care of the staff and enjoy a safe place. Nana’s House is now in the process of buying land to build one facility to unite all three homes on one property. Join us in supporting their efforts! http://nanascasa.com/
